Q: What exactly is Nuan Bamboo?

A: Nuan Bamboo is a fabric blend of Bamboo viscose that is OEKO-TEX certified, meaning tested for harmful chemicals, and produced in small batches to minimize impact to our planet. There is a 5% blend of spandex to provide the additional mobility required for infants and toddlers' developing joints. 

Q: How is Bashful Baby sustainable?

A: The harsh truth is, no clothing brand is 100% sustainable. When we make something that has higher quantities or neglect ethical standards in the industry, we are inevitably producing waste that can harm the planet. We aim to be as sustainable as possible, focusing on small batches for every design launch based on prior performance and accepting preorders. We hope to slow down fast fashion, one PJ at a time- and it's definitely a continuous work in progress. 

Q: Is Nuan Bamboo good for eczema or sensitive baby skin?

A: Yes! Our Bamboo Blend is GREAT for eczema or sensitive baby skin. #1 reason is that it is much more natural than other cheap alternatives such as polyester and gosh forbid it be Nylon or Acrylic. #2 reason is that it is processed just enough to avoid natural fiber allergies and rashes that could happen with 100% cotton or wool garments. 

Q: Is Nuan Bamboo seasonless?

A: Another yes! Nuan Bamboo is not only highly breathable, it is also temperature regulating. The natural fibers of bamboo have an inherent ability to balance temperature fluctuations. When it’s hot, bamboo fibers can pull moisture away from your baby's skin, leaving them feeling cool. In cooler conditions, it can retain some warmth, giving them a mild insulating effect.

Q: How long does shipping take?

A: Shipping generally takes 5-7 days. We use ground shipping for our free shipping option. If you would like express shipping, there may be additional fees which should show up at checkout. 

Q: How do I return an item?

A: To return an item, please contact us at support@bashful-baby.com with your order number (found in your confirmation email or packing slip). Be sure to include details about your request. Once we receive your request, we’ll provide instructions for returning the item. A $6.00 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.

Q: Can I exchange an item?

A: We do not offer direct exchanges. If you’d like a different item, we recommend returning the original item (following our return process) and placing a new order for the item you want. This is the fastest way to get the product you’re looking for.

Q: How long do I have to return an item?

A: Our return policy is valid for 15 days from the date you receive your order. After that, we’re unable to accept returns or offer refunds.

Q: Can I return a sale item?

A: Unfortunately, sale items purchased at more than 20% off are final sale and cannot be returned. Please review the product details before purchasing sale items to ensure it’s exactly what you want.

Q: What if my item is damaged or defective?

A: If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Send an email to support@bashful-baby.com with your order number and details of the issue, and we’ll work quickly to resolve the problem. Please note that this is extremely rare. 

Q: How long does it take to get my refund?

A: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll notify you of the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow 3 or more business days for the refund to show up in your bank account, as processing times may vary.

Q: Do I need to pay for return shipping?

A: Yes, the cost of return shipping is $6.00, and this will be deducted from your refund amount. We recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure your return is processed smoothly.

Q: Can I return a gift card?

A: Unfortunately, gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged.

A: We recommend using a shipping carrier with tracking for your return. Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll notify you of the status of your refund. Unfortunately, we do not provide individual tracking updates for returns.
